About the Absalon Traders

The Absalon Shipping & Trading Co. is comprised of a fleet of independently owned and operated ships and their crew who do trade through the Port of Mystara, owned and overseen by the Docks Master.  The fleets bring in raw wholesale goods to Mystara, which is an island of limited resources, and sell them to the various merchants and traders in the Mystara realm. They bring in everything from livestock, metal ore, lumber, and even people, to less common goods.

The legitimacy of the goods brought in through the Port of Mystara is indeterminate. It is generally said that ships’ and crews are made up of good men that sail long and far to bring in the necessities of life to the good people of Mystara. However, rumor has it that some among the fleet are pirates making their living by raiding other ships and seaside villages, thieving and pillaging their way to profit. While the Village Guards of Mystara often perform cargo inspections, it is hard to know what has been pirated. Though its rumor that when the pirate ships come in, the Docks Master turns the other cheek...

If you are a pirate or a shipmate, a captain or a clerk, and you enjoy the role-play of supplying goods, interacting with the variety of business owners in the village, bonding with your crew over a few ales, singing sea shanties and having a good haggle over prices; the Absalon Traders could be the right fit for you. With endless amounts of role-play opportunities at your disposal, being a trader, a shipper, a captain, or a runner can be immensely fulfilling. Absalon Ranks and Roles

• Absalon Admiral - Owner of the Company and Overseer of all activities
• Absalon Ship Captain and Crew - Company crew
• Absalon Foreman - Handyman and/or Shipbuilder
• Absalon Runner - Goods delivery crew
• Absalon First mate - Apprentice
• Absalon Apprentice - Beginners
• Independant Ship Captain and Crew - Independant ship owners who pay for mooring/trade deals and protection through Absalon.
• Port Authority - Port muscle
